Ekphrasis Studio is a freelance initiative for the development of cultural creative industries and tourism in Albania and abroad. It aims through its work in policy evaluation, research, education, project conceptualization and implementation to cross-promote arts, heritage and culture, educate the public on multi-disciplinary fields and increase the artistic quality of life for anyone participating in the events. Current work include contributions to the book Albania: A Patrimony of European Values, a guide of Albanian history and cultural heritage. The Directors of Ekphrasis Studio have a combined 6 years of experience in the field of Arts Management and 12 years in related academic study at European and North American institutes. Both Directors hold a Masters Degree in Arts and Heritage: Policy, Management and Education, from the University of Maastricht, The Netherlands. Ekphrasis has communication to a wide national and international network from media (newspapers, journalists, TV channels), arts and heritage (artists and organizations).

Blerina Berberi has a background in business, fine arts management, festival planning and administration. She has six years of academic study from The Netherlands, as well as previous experience in several Albanian national government institutions. She has worked at The European Fine Art and Antique Fair, and at Jan Van Eyck Art Academy in The Netherlands, as well having organized International Festivals in Albania with Fine Arts, Street Dance, Polyphonic Music, Mosaic Art and Photography in cooperation with international organizations and initiatives. She has also designed several academic courses and programs for art, culture and heritage management at universities in Albania.

Kevin Tummers has a background in cultural studies, arts management, creative cities and festival planning and has worked and studied in France, Canada, The Netherlands and Albania. In Canada he was involved in the Nova Scotia International Tall Ship Festival and other museum work. In Albania he helped develop and organize Tales from a Globalizing World Photo exhibition in Shkodra and Tirana, Bylisfonia Polyphonic Festival at Bylis archaeology site, Saimir Strati Guinness World Record at Sheraton and has assisted projects at the Albanian National History Museum, University of New York Tirana and for the Albanian Institute of History.
